Christus Health Network Agreement Dental Care
In order to be seen at the Dental Health Unit, you must first request an admission appointment, where an evaluation of your oral health will be made and, if necessary, x-rays will be requested to complete the diagnosis.
This first evaluation is free of charge and can be done in person or by teleconsultation. To apply, you can do it in person at Health and Student Welfare, or write to dental@uc.cl indicating your full name, rut, chosen modality, your time availability and attach your mobility pass.
During the pandemic, we adopted the teleconsultation modality for first care. The purpose of this is to evaluate the reason for your consultation, define if you need to be referred to any specialty and request any X-rays you may require, in order to expedite your on-site care.
After the teleconsultation, you will be summoned to complete the evaluation in person, where the clinical examination will be performed, your x-rays will be reviewed and the treatment you may need will be explained to you. In addition, you will be able to start with a free dental cleaning.
If you have an emergency, such as severe pain or a broken tooth, you can go directly to the Dental Health Unit to be treated in a timely manner.
Remember that urgent care is free of charge! We have emergency shifts from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. and from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., during which time there will always be a doctor available to attend to emergencies quickly, so we recommend you to attend during those hours. However, if you have an emergency outside these hours, you can come to the Dental Health Unit and we will try to attend you as soon as possible.
If you are far from the Dental Health Unit and you are not sure if your problem is an emergency, you can call 955045700 and request a teleconsultation time for that moment, in which one of our dentists will be able to guide you and, if necessary, schedule you for a face-to-face visit as soon as possible (even that same day).
We are located on the third floor of the Student Hall of the San Joaquin Campus. The opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. and from 14:00 to 17:00 hrs.
